This textbook mainly covers the Fundamental Concepts of the Dravya Guna Shastra in brief along with the Modern fundamental, Sthavara dravya and Jangama dravya. This textbook is divided into two parts. Part 1, is subdivided into two sections. Section-1 deals with Fundamentals of Dravya Guna Shastra as Dravya, Rasa, Guna, Veerya, Vipåka, Prabhåva and karma in brief. Section 2 deals with the Modern fundamentals like Plant Morphology i.e. External Morphology, Internal morphology, Physico-chemical Evaluation and preparation of Herbarium along with significance. Part 2, is again subdivided into two sections. Section 1, Deals with Sthavara dravya and section 2, deals with Jangama dravya given under syllabus of CCIM by giving more importance to its Macroscopical and Microscopical identity along with some Microscopical images of the plant under consideration.
